Thread: Last Post Wins

    Last Post Wins

I work out of two offices, one that is 5 minutes from my house and one that is 10 minutes from my house at most.

I always tell the GPS to go to the Inverness office when I'm headed to the 10 minute one, as there are several terms in it and 10 minutes is plenty enough time for my mind to be thinking of something else besides making a turn. The 5-minute one involves just one real turn out of my neighborhood, but even then I will sometimes tell it to do that. It's nice to have a gentle reminder that your turn is upcoming.

Funny, I make fun of young people who don't know how to read a map now when that's all we had growing up and in much of our driving days, and now I'm as reliant on GPS as they are.

It’s been 15 days since the last post. We can probably go ahead and give the trophy to Blueboss.

I agree, Daboss is a great guy and deserving of the title. I trained hard to win but go ahead and give him that new wide-screen TV and smoker. He's surely a guy that when UK plays in the final 4, he will have a big cooking and have everyone on the board to come over to feast and watch the game on the new TV, right Boss?

I’ll schedule the party when I return from the three week cruise in the South Pacific that was included in the “last post wins” prize package.

Just one minor detail…I think the rules state that you have to provide proof that your post was indeed the last post. But that shouldn’t be a problem.

Do you think it’ll calm down after scootching below Australia and up into the Indian Ocean.

Welcome. Short version is that tropical storm, possible hurricane formation is much more probable in the next 10 to 15 days between south Cali and Hawaii. Not a good time for a boat trip.

Boss, things going as planned: (Re: main board), when you think the time is right, make the game winning decision, and I'll be right behind you to verify it. The game won't last much longer with board in such turmoil.

…and then there was this. The 10 days I spent on the Mediterranean this seems unimaginable. I was mesmerized daily at the how peaceful the sea appeared. One day the wind was blowing 15-20 knots and there was barely a chop.

My wife dropped a laundry basket last night full of clean towels.

She got mad at me for watching it all unfold.

90 degree highs with 70 degree lows, flipped to 70 degree highs to 40 degree lows overnight. Three days later, let’s flip it back to 90 degree highs and 70 degree lows.

Nothing like 40-50 degree temperature changes.

Seems to be a cohesive strategy to keep anyone else from wanting to open this thread, resulting in the win.
