Thread: GAME: Yes or No Game

  1. #181

Re: GAME: Yes or No Game

Yes, but it has been many years. At least, my old memory seems to remember doing that. Hasn't happened in years, though.

Have you mowed your lawn yet this year (mine is in desperate need of it--not grass mowing, but weeds, apparently. No, my home will never be the showcase lawn...)

  2. #182

    GAME: Yes or No Game

No, haven’t mowed yet, however I am going to fertilize this weekend.... I know, I Know, when you fertilize you have to mow more, counter-productive.

Have you ever been cooking/grilling and dropped something on the floor/ground either going on or coming off and still served it?... without mentioning it?

    No

The food dropped after or during grilling belongs to the cook at my house.

Do you have an operating aquarium in your house?

    No

Wish I did, but do not want to take care of it.

Is anyone else just now seeing or remembering this thread for the first time? (I am apparently)

    Yes. Forgot about it.

Anyone want to help me finance the purchase of a bar? Yes I know this is putting the fox in charge of the hen house.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

    No.

I had two friends who hit a large plaintiff class case. They had more money than sense, so they thought they'd open up a bar. Thought they'd save on their own bar tab.

I formed the legal entity and helped them with miscellaneous agreements. In the end, as bar owners, they were great lawyers.

It was a very cool place, though.

Been to a new restaurant or bar lately?

I think we need to seriously consider a weed dispensary. That’ll eliminate the “kid in the candy store” syndrome (at least for me) all the while making a boat load of money.

Yes. Blaze pizza. Just OK IMO, wife really liked it.

No, 3 SUVs (down from 4) and a van, but no pick up truck. Would like one some day.

Do you (or have you in the past) counted your daily steps?

Yes, everyday via my Fitbit and Fitbit app.

Have you ever posted on KSR while at work sitting in a meeting??

I want to hear your answer, but for me, no. While "listening" to my wife? Sure.

Have you bought something recently that exceeded your expectations?

I actually typed that question while working yesterday, I don’t recall ever making a response in a meeting, but I’m sure I’ve read thread pieces while in a meeting.

My iPhone 7+. My son had been trying to get me to switch from androids for a couple of years and finally did. This thing is awesome!

Have you ever woken up with half of one of your eyes blood red? I did last Sunday and it’s just now starting to look a little better. I’m going to miss freaking people out with it.

Re: GAME: Yes or No Game

I don't think I have, at least not that I remember. I have awakened before with both eyes swollen shut, where I could barely peeking out after apparently rubbing my eyes while grilling shrimp. Of course, I have a shellfish allergy. I thought I had been careful. Hard to be careful enough.

Have you filed your tax return yet?

Have you read a thread on Kentucky Sports Report that is more than 5 years old recently? (I have...)

Yes, I went back and read through a couple of years of the this thread.

Have you personally washed a vehicle by hand since the beginning of spring.

    (I have not)

I think eight wins is doable and would be a good season but I’m still hoping for 9 or even 10.

Would you rather be too hot or too cold?

  21. #201

Re: GAME: Yes or No Game

Yes, I'd rather be too hot. Grew up without A/C in school; didn't have central A/C for a few years as a kid, and lived outdoors as much as possible growing up and got used to the heat, I guess. I have stopped outdoor running when it hits 90 degrees due to my age, weight, concern for heat exhaustion or worse, etc., but I always enjoy sweating while working outside or mowing the yard.

Don't like being cold. Period. Don't like the feeling in my extremities, don't like the cold air intake in my lungs (if outdoors and really cold). I have a cardigan I keep in my office and wear most days in the summer because an undershirt and long sleeve shirt isn't enough to keep me warm enough. In my home office, I actually have a "Mr. Buddy" next to me in cold weather in case I need it to be warmer. I run it a few minutes and stop, but I don't like to be cold. Can't emphasize that enough.

I'm 6'0, 220 so you'd think I have enough blubber to keep me warm, but it's not enough.

Do you change your thermostat at home to different temperatures because of the season?

Re: GAME: Yes or No Game

Not me, I’d rather have to keep piling on clothes until I’m comfortable. I can’t stand the heat and it seems to be getting worse the older I get.

I keep the thermostat on 72° in the summer but on days like today it’s kind of moot anyway since the ac is running but it’s still 74 in the house. My wife will go and turn it down to 68 thinking that will cool things down hahahaha. I’ve tried to explain to her how thermostats work but finally gave up after a couple of tries. I will turn it down to 70 at night and once it gets there it’s actually kind of cool. In the winter it’s 68 during the day and down to 66 at night until I get up in the morning, which is always before anyone else.

Have you ever worn crocs on the beach?

Have you ever taken a piece of trash that you found on your property and taken it to who you thought was the rightful owner and put it on their property?

Have you ever smoked a brisket? (And if the answer is "yes," any tips?)

No I have not. Got a "Camera Ticket" a couple of months ago...hate this idea. Luckily not one that goes to insurance.

Has anyone ever been to an outdoor all day/night concert in terrible weather?
