So...a serious question.

Is Elvis Presley still alive? I thought I saw him, older looking, and wearing a sombrero-like hat, at a county carnival this summer. You had to picture him years younger, but he had lost weight, and was now an African-American. But I think it was him.

I walked up to him and asked if he had blue suede shoes, and he told me that for a price, he had anything I wanted. I said that I really liked Jailhouse Rock, and he took off--much faster than an 80-year old man should run (I think he's 80 now). Anyway, I was just wondering if you thought it was him. If it wasn't, it was a dead ringer for him. If he was a little older. And changed races. Normally, I'd say that it was unlikely, but I saw a movie--"Soul Man"--where that happened. So I'm pretty confident that if anyone could do it, it would be Elvis.

I observed a college scholars bowl tournament today. I learned three things:

1. Scholars Bowl to Jeopardy is like Einstein to a preschooler.

2. There are some freakishly smart kids there.

3. I am stupid. Or ignorant. Or both.
