Kentucky v UNC-CH Hall of Fame Game Contest
I will be traveling either tomorrow or Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, away from a computer Monday through Wednesday and traveling again on Thursday, so I'm going to post this. Grading may be suspect, but I'll try to sneak a computer when I can.
1. Predict the Kentucky margin of victory (+) OR loss (-). If you believe that Kentucky will lose, make sure that you make it clearly known with a -- [minus sign], or something else.
2. Predict the game high scorer, AND the total number of points he will score in the game. NOTE--it does not have to be a Kentucky player for this KSR point.
3. OVER/UNDER 2.5: UNC-CH averages making 8.5 3-pointers a game; Kentucky averages making 6 3-pointers a game. Predict whether UNC-CH will make OVER 2.5 more than Kentucky, UNDER 2.5 more than Kentucky, and by how many. For example, if you think UNC-CH will make 10 3-pointers, and Kentucky will make 6, then the correct answer would be OVER, by 1.5 (4 - 2.5).
4. This, That, or Any Other Thing: Predict whether:
This will happen: Kentucky will have a player make more FTs than UNC-CH.
That: UNC-CH will commit more than 14 turnovers.
or
Any Other Thing: This would include both This and That, as well as neither This nor That.
Tie Breaker: Time remaining in the game when the winning team takes the lead for good (i.e., no ties and they don't trail after that time.)

So far we average out at UNCheat -3 so we’re right on the betting line.

I may need to check the official box tomorrow. Just read something that said Keldon had 23.

Lot of correct picks here for the catch all any other thing.
Travis made more FTs than any Tar Heel, and UNC-CH committed 17 turnovers, more than the 14, so both THIS and THAT were met, meaning ANY OTHER THING was the correct answer.

I'll verify tomorrow, but if KJ had 21, Doc wins with 3 points.
If he had 23, I'll calculate that now.

Three way tie if KJ had 23 between Doc, Kingcat and Blueboss.

I've got Blueboss winning the tiebreaker if it applies.
Keldon Johnson hit a 3-pointer to put Kentucky up for good, 19-17 with 10:58 remaining in the first half.
Wow. Cats led for a long time.

Re: Kentucky v UNC-CH Hall of Fame Game Contest
KJ had 23 per the play by play. Don’t know what’s up with the box score.
I screwed up the number line but no credit for actually saying that UK would make two more threes? I need an interpreter for some of these questions lol.
And in conclusion, your “This” question doesn’t say what you graded it for...it says will a UK player make more free throws than UNC-CH, not whether a UK player will make more than a UNC-CH player, which is how you graded it. Maybe everyone else knew that was what you meant but I missed that meeting lol.
Okay rant over. Now get off my lawn!changing my signature to change our luck.

Re: Kentucky v UNC-CH Hall of Fame Game Contest
The problem with the number line is this--you gave two DIFFERENT answers.
Had North Carolina made 2 more 3-pointers than Kentucky, your "0.5" answer would have been correct.
Had Kentucky made 2 more 3-pointers than North Carolina, your "Kentucky will make 2 more than UNC" would have been correct.
Lot of interpreting to do there to make it fair.
But I'm going to do like UK and UNC are doing, and do some postgame post-grading. Call it "Scorer's Discretion."
I think your intent was pretty clear when I read it again that UK would make 2 more than UNC, so I'm giving you that point.
That would take the point away from Doc, and move him into the tie with Blueboss and Kingcat, where Blueboss won the tiebreaker.
But given that your answer was "technically" incorrect (in that it gave two different answers, and the first one was wrong), I'm not going to penalize Doc, either.
Will declare both Doc and Blueboss both winners for the game. Hey, it was a big enough win that it deserves having two HOF inductees anyway.
I'm not as inclined to buy the other argument. I think it was more contorted to get that view (one player versus an entire team). May not have been as artfully worded as possible, but that's the breaks!
(You do get your KSR point, though. I do buy that one.)

Re: Kentucky v UNC-CH Hall of Fame Game Contest
FWIW, the official boxscore does show Johnson with 21 points, so that one was correct originally.
