    RIP Jimmy Carter

Passed away at 100 years of age.

I see him as an honest politician (which is a rarity) and good overall person who had too much faith in the good of humanity which allowed his adversaries to take advantage of him. A man who tried his best but came up short as a President. However, as a person, he was one of the great ones. His passing is sad.
    In your face, Harold!

Certainly a no-brainer for St. Peter at the pearly gates. RIP Jimmy, you’ve earned it.

I’m 1/4 Carter and my Dad said we were distantly related. Not just because of the name (his mother was a Carter) but because someone had actually traced the family trees back to common ancestors. Not that they made a habit of telling people that back during the days of lines at the gas pumps that went around the block.
We do this not because it is easy, but because we thought it would be easy.

Good man, poor fit for a President.

I mean this with respect for my memory of that part of my life: I guess the rabbit finally got him. (That's for anyone old enough to remember, which on this board is all of us)

RIP Mr. President. I disagreed with a lot of his views, but I have the utmost respect for his sincere beliefs and belief in the American people. I don't doubt that a bit.

A good man, from a day when you could respect someone across the aisle.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

This is for you Mr. President, played by the great Dan Akroyd:

At least he died knowing he wasn't the worse President ever. He can thank Joe Biden for that
