Pretty nervous about it but Montana State is playing Idaho tonight. 22,000 Montanans in beautiful Bozeman. FCS football is different. Not SEC caliber, maybe competitive. Idaho hung with Oregon early in the season, MSU beat New Mexico.
Quarterfinal FCS 9pm eastern on actual ESPN. The outgoing MSU President, Waded Cruzado, put in lights, more or less doubled the size of the stadium, is building football sized dedicated indoor practice facility, etc.
Our senior qb, “Touchdown Tommy” Mellott from “Butte America” unexpectedly led MSU to the final gsme as a freshman. And we are undefeated.
My friend and fellow CPA’s son is #11 on the defensive line, Bozeman kid. I taught Cost accounting back in 1990 and Dad was a student and football player then. Lots of Montana kids and Idaho kids battlin for rocky mountain pride.
You might enjoy a game of college football as it used to be, even if it’s not the 100,000 seat quality league.
