He is not only funny, he is also fond of direct answers to direct questions. Those types of answers to direct questions are rare in the Senate Chambers. Senators Kennedy and Cruz are often chided and taken to task by Majority Whip Durbin, for wanting to receive a direct yes or no answer to a direct question.

just reading the thread title, I knew it had to be Kennedy. Initially I figured he was some backwoods rube. Turned out to be far more than that. Probably the most common sense and reasonable person in Congress, or even Government in general.

I respect his opinion, and do believe the American people will be the winners in the end, and the American people I speak of are the ones that are gifted with common sense and ones that will not be affected by the liberal mob that thinks the average American does not have enough sense to come in out of the rain and also can be easily distracted by shiny objects, and fancy words. Fortunately there are enough Average Americans that still vote in presidential elections, and they turned the reins over to a leader with common sense.

The senator was asked recently what he thought about AOC's qualifications if she chose to run for the highest office in the land, and he calmly stated that he was confident in saying that she was the reason for printed instructions on a shampoo bottle, and the Republican plan for combating her run for office is named "Let Her Speak"
