Re: Last Post Wins
Feel bad for my most beloved son-in-law, and I have three takeaways for the game today .
1 the ACC officiating that I witnessed today is right up there with the SEC for incompetence.
2 Coach Brohm will have a looooong meeting with his coaching staff tonight
3 maybe I was lucky enough to sit close to some old coots such as myself, but it was a pretty much enjoyable experience. Son-in-law was a big part of that as well.Last edited by BigBluePappy; 10-05-2024 at 06:00 PM.

Great pics guys, never let it be said that us KSR’ers don’t know how to have fun.

Re: Last Post Wins
Nice pics!
Reminds me of the time my buddy lost two fingers in a fireworks accident. He asked the doctor if he would still be able to play golf. The doctor said maybe.
But I wouldn’t count on it.

I wonder if the guy that coined the term “one hit wonder” came up with any other phrases?

Yeah, that's dang clever.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

Cool. Do you hear him at night and look for him?

Re: Last Post Wins
We sometimes hear screech owls in the distance, but I was coming home from a meeting, heading down the driveway and saw him fly out in front of me, caught by my headlights. I just saw it’s tail flying away from me and knew it was weird yo see a bird at night, do I tried to watch it.
I saw it land and was very lucky to grab my phone and get a couple pictures before he took off.
I don’t know what type he is, but it was a pretty cool sight to see, just pure dumb luck

Last Post Wins
I thought it might be a barred owl, which is what I have by my house. Barred owls have dark eyes, and those in the photo appear yellow.
We had a family return yearly for a while, they had disappeared for a few years after some hawks moved in, but the other morning I left early while it was still dark and heard some owls had returned.

Re: Last Post Wins
I hear them every night except in the summer. I guess they migrate then come back in the fall. Ours are the great horned; they go whooo whooo

Re: Last Post Wins
I live right in town and we have a hoot owl out there somewhere. He's loud and proud, but haven't spotted him yet. Happy to hear him at night. I couldn't guess at the species, I assume with research the call would tell, but I don't know them well enough to discern it I'm sure.

I’ll never forget the time I was kidnapped by a gang of mimes.
They did unspeakable things.

Oh it gets worse. Get this: I just bought a pen that the salesperson said would write underwater.
I’m not telling them but I just discovered it writes other words too.We do this not because it is easy, but because we thought it would be easy.

Grammy got a new car that has a button for pretty much everything.
There's even one that says "rear wiper"...
Afraid to see what that one does. One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter.
