Remind me to never throw darts with you.

I was actually pretty decent at darts in a former life. I was the 501 guy on our team at the Z Sub Pub in Lexington.

I threw in league in Louisville, we were in a B3 class and did pretty good. We bumped up to B1 the next year and got waxed. A league guys were other worldly.

I'm decent at it as long as everyone is held to a 3 drinks per hour minimum.

It is funny, but for those who love WKRP and remember how the more drunk he got the better his reflexes got, I do that with pool and darts. lol.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

I have a confession to make. I like some of Miley’s songs. I know, I was surprised too.

Knowing you have a problem is the first step.

I'm sure a thorough course of self-reflection, group therapy and a complete MRI and medical workup to make sure there are no underlying injuries and you can make a recovery and life a long and fruitful life.

May I suggest beginning with mild meditation with ACDC at 80+ decibels?

Ever tried to fix an interior door handle with a 9 year old and a 6 year old helper?
1 hour and 22 minutes for a 15 minute job...
But, at least they were there and I was trying to teach them that they can do things for themselves...

I decided to teach my 6 year old gson how to wind the grandfather clock. He looked me dead in the eye and said “aren’t you afraid I’ll break it”. I knew at that point it was exactly the right thing to do, his self confidence skyrocketed with each pull of the chains and he was so focused as the weights went up.

Plus, it’s a great clock to teach a kid how to tell time in a digital world.

He turns 12 next week, they moved to Fl a month ago, and now it saddens me every time I have to wind the clock.

    …cherish those moments.

That is why I am trying to teach them something other than playing a video game 24 hours a day...and it helps with self confidence as well.

I put a new dishwasher in yesterday evening. I offered to pay to have the old one removed and the new one put in but I was outvoted lol. It was 1 to 1. Mike Rowe needs to do an episode on dishwashers. My 61 year old body doesn’t bend like it used to.

I paid a $150.00 delivery installation/removal fee a couple of years ago… I watched the guy and there was a couple of steps that would have thwarted me getting it done without a lot of drama…. $$$ well spent.

Did they use a screw extractor?

For the life of me, I cannot locate my screw extractor set I bought when I upgraded my Palm Pilot...

..plus, if I take on that job, it’ll take at least a half of a day, including three trips to Ace Hardware, a ripped shirt, at least one bump on my head, one or two cuts which could need stitches, and a huge mess to clean up.

    Same.

Wait. You are talking about upgrading the RAM in your Palm Pilot, right?

Thunder weekend… I can’t imagine what it’s like living in war torn region… we’ve had jets flying around for three days, it’s been cloudy lowering the ceiling and these guys have been flying low… it does provide a sense of security and pride knowing they’re ours, and are on call 24/7 to protect our country.

Just got buzzed by EA-18’s… F-18’s with more electronics used as weaponry. (jamming radar etc)

Edit: F-35’s are in the box now, which buzzed the house yesterday, actually scared Ms boss. Today it looks like they’re turning tighter so we’re not getting the full effect at the house.

I just read your last call in the 9th… me too. One question, did we start out the season at our ceiling, and now everyone is getting better?

A little, maybe. I think the team just isn't as good as the elite teams, but we're better than what we're playing right now. We're just in a funk.

The Japanese horses have been killing it around the world. Is this the year they take the Kentucky Derby?

Yes, very breezy. And still chilly here (50s). But the warmup is coming, in time for Derby.

May is my 2nd favorite month here in KY, after October.
