Sounds like one of the two things making rounds. I've been lucky and haven't caught either.

The upper thing from what I've been told, seems to linger for a couple of weeks.

Just had breakfast. Toasted sourdough with cream cheese, topped with fresh caught smoked salmon. mmmm mmm good!

My son and his pretty little wife are flying into SF tomorrow morning for a few days from Idaho. Taking them to breakfast at the Millbrae Pancake House, a place that refuses to update its decor from the 70s, but serves great food. Then spending the day in the city at the California Academy of Sciences. Excited to see them and relax before a BIG New Years Eve wedding I'm booked to photograph in Sausalito (the actual "dock on the bay" in the beautiful Otis Redding song). In the middle of all this, probably tonight actually, I'm releasing/blogging about Amy, the heroin addicted prostitute I've been following for the past year.

Then in 2 weeks the 24 yr old redheaded stepchild has decided it's time to grow up, after graduating with his AA degree in 5 years of college. He is moving to Washington State to venture into the world on his own.

Today it's just sorta annoying drainage, not really congested. So on its way out. But day 9, and I wouldn't say I'm over it yet. Maybe another day or two.

Day 11 of my cold...just annoying mucus, otherwise it's over. But remnants remain. (I know everyone was waiting on that update).

    It doesn't work.
One time during the voir dire I told them I not only believed in the death penalty but I thought we ought to have electric sofas to speed the process up and to lessen overpopulation I would say expanding the scope to traffic violations as well.
Just kidding, but I sat on a murder trial a few years ago and I got to say it still bothers me to this day. Both the victim and the murderer are/were the age of my own son.

Way back when I was a Navy JAG I prosecuted a Marine for unpremeditated murder of another Marine. Victim was a 19 year-old Lance Corporal who had a bright future ahead of him. Meeting with the parents and preparing them for the sentencing phase was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do. The accused was 21, married and had a baby, and probably shouldn't have been in a position where he was carrying a weapon (he was preparing to be administratively discharged for a pattern of misconduct--including weapons violations).

Even though I got a conviction and the panel sentenced the accused to a lengthy prison sentence, I came away from that case feeling like everybody lost all around.

Warmest day we've had in awhile, so the A/C is on. And my portable heater, because when it's hot outside, I'm cold in the office.

As all the worldly folks on here know sometimes there is no good outcome of a situation. Quite often in fact.

Hate the outcome but you can't ignore the event.

I'm facing a vastly less serious version of that now. Hate that it happened but I can't pretend it didn't. In your case bc of law and justice, in mine bc of company moral and standards.

The general rule here in the People's Democratic Republic of Louisville: any kind of precipitation falls out of the sky (rain, snow, etc.), in any amount, and drivers lose their minds. Didn't start snowing until 7 am, but rush hour was a nightmare.

I just got off the phone with my doctor's office. Well, my soon-to-be doctor's office, since I will be a new patient.

They asked me if I was ready for the snow tomorrow. Here's the scary snow forecast for tomorrow here.

Not much on the sunny side of Louisville, maybe 2", but more like a little over 1"... Depending on where you are in the county.

Daughter's flight from Oklahoma delayed into Dallas more than 2 hours, meaning she can't connect into Birmingham flight. So leaving tomorrow at 5:30. Will arrive tomorrow morning in Birmingham, hopefully the snow won't be here by then and they close the roads!

Birmingham will be one giant parking lot in a couple of hours. Couple of tenths of sleet should paralyze the city

My Google notices just sent me an update that highway 280 by my house is a +12 minute delay already. It will get worse. Dan, you are on the money.

    Re: Last Post Wins

Hope everyone got their supplies before the rush as tonight's weather in the Ham should be a bit worse with a mix of sleet and snow over night amounting to 2 or 3 inches. Of course this all happens right before it warms up Sunday and Monday to make it all go away so everyone can go out and retrieve their abandoned vehicles

I'm pulled over at the side of the road so that I can read and wait for a text message from my daughter on what she would like me to pick up for her to eat. My first two restaurants were both closed. There's not a speck of anything on the ground here. We are not set up for ice, however, so I'm not going to criticize. It was a disaster a couple of years ago, and it is worse overreacting at times to avoid that in the future.
