Wis. taxpayers spend $$ on empty buildings gov't refuses to sell to private schools
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013...cmp=latestnews
MPS has been blocking several charter and private schools in the choice program from buying nearly every one of its unused facilities, an investigation conducted by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty has revealed.
Freaking NEA wants to continue their monopoly on public education, and because of their clout with the local governments they can thumb their nose at the competition.seeya

Dan if you click through to the full article the chair of the MPS says outright it would be like Coke selling a plant to Pepsi so Pepsi could compete with them. Admits outright they'd rather the building sit vacant and the children of that city have fewer and lesser options for education rather than have the government/union schools lose students to private schools.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

The unions strike back in New York. Forget that education there is so bad 50,000 kids are on a wait list to get into charter schools, let's lock them into an education system their parents obviously think is far inferior.

De Blasio makes Obama look Libertarian. What on Earth is wrong with people? Have we been infiltrated by the Communist party? Was J Edgar Hoover really holding them back?

Private schools are not the unions bitch, so as a result they are evil and bad. Ignore that they are more effective and efficient. One must keep in mind that ONLY the end goal is important and that is forming a society that is dependant of the government. This is how politicians stay in control. In your face, Harold!
