Re: Ever Tried UK's Butcher Shop?
Huh. Had no idea. Not exactly the best location. lol. There's a line in there about looking for the sign at the loading dock of the Ag building on Cooper. I think I'll go looking for it though, bet the meat is pretty good.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

Dry-aged ground beef has to be the best around here not to mention the other options. Gonna go over there in the next few days to give it a try.

This sounds like a very good idea to me. I'll bet once it becomes common knowledge that the shop exists business will pick up appreciably and probably be pretty profitable.

They need to move the wildcat sculpture. We once did work for a pet shop in a mall. They sold dogs and cat. But the kicker was they were by a Chinese fast food counter.
At UK I was required to take all those meat courses
We learned to butcher cows, sheep, and pigs. Also has a grading class (prime, choice, etc)
And judging. Was rather informative. A butcher shop is a natural progression.Last edited by Doc; 05-02-2013 at 09:05 AM.

Re: Ever Tried UK's Butcher Shop?
I stopped by today. Dry aged ground beef only $3 a pound. 004.jpg Everything is sold frozen, which I like better. Nice lady running the shop.

I thawed a pound and cooked burgers on the grill tonight. Very tasty but the biggest difference from grocery bought was the surprising juiciness and tenderness of the beef. Two thumbs up from me.
