Caution: Thread Contains Bragging
Today I watched my nine year old grandson receive his first degree black belt in taekwondo. He tested and achieved his goal this morning in a closed door test in front of Grand Master Hwang, who is a nineteenth degree black belt, and also an Olympic silver medalist in Judo.
I could not be more proud of the little guy, he has worked his butt off. Interestingly, he is very mellow, and not like some high strung billy bad ass, he’s just a normal little nine year old, until he takes the mats. He’s not the most athletic kid, but he is very coachable and loves the challenge of the process and is very competitive, and disciplined.
Next month he will compete for the first time as a black belt in forms, board breaking, sparring and weapons at the HMA (Hwang’s Martial Arts) International Taekwondo Championships at Broadbent Arena.

Congratulations boss. The 2 attributes that I bolded above are keys to success in the martial arts. Chuck Norris is not a great athlete, but Some people wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas.seeya
