SOTU versus UK/Vandy
I know most of you all will be watching President Obama tonight giving his 2nd last SOTU address. Very important stuff.
I have decided to watch the UK/Vandy game!!!!

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
Tough choice. I guess I will probably watch one & record the other to watch later. The game will be good, not so sure about what will come out of his Communist piehole that can possibly be good for any of us. JMHO.

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
The State of the Union is pathetic, but then Obama has done all he can to destroy the country so that should come as no surprise.

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
Thanks for the chuckle to start my day.
I can't remember the last time I watched an SOTU speech, from a President of either party. All it's become is an attempt for the President to set his agenda for the year. Very few things less important. I'd rather watch "Say Yes To The Dress" than the SOTU.U really think players are going to duke without being paid over Kentucky?--Gilbert Arenas, 9/12/19

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
The only thing better than his second to last state of the union address is his final state of the union address.

I'm DVR'ing SOTU so I can slow it down, watch replays, etc.

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
I wish the next President would just set the precedent of mailing it to Congress. It's archaic.

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
That is a good thought. Unless we had a POTUS that actually had something intelligent & meaningful to address the nation with, and then I would like to see the POTUS deliver that speech. But you're right, it pretty much is an archaic event, probably only still done for the tradition it exhibits.

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
I'm looking forward to someone else giving the SOTU address. This appears to be a repeat of his first five where he proposes higher taxes, more shafting of the middle class by not lowering our world's highest corporate taxes and promising undeliverable freebies to people who don't know any better.

Re: SOTU versus UK/Vandy
Going to redirect this to the Barbershop, but with the hopes that the discussion continues. it's all been above board, just going to put it in the politics category.
On a personal note, I can't say I was surprised that it would focus on domestic issues to take focus off what has been one of the biggest ongoing foreign policy debacles in American history.People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.
