Basically, it's an interview in Harvard Yard of Harvard students who are asked who is the greater threat to world peace, the US or ISIS. Stunningly (but unsurprisingly) a large number of these "cream of the crop" students argued that the US caused ISIS to exist through our imperialism and greed for oil. That we were the root cause of all the Middle East's evil.

Yep, that's right. The US is a bigger threat to world peace than a group openly dedicated to mass murder and expansion through conquest through any level of brutality required.

As I have posted elsewhere, this is the fundamental Obama worldview, and is thus the entire quandary of his Administration. How can you take military and economic action when you believe that very action is the cause of all the problems? You would see yourself as just perpetuating imperialism and the problem.

The corollary to this belief, that US action is the source of these problems, is that US inaction and withdrawal is the cure. So Obama has gotten us out and lowered our footprint in every way possible (like not having beefier deployments in Libya, not wanting a show of our force or presence), thinking things would then work out fine.

Of course this worldview, the hip and trendy Leftism of the US being the source of all evil in the world, is the intellectual equivalent of thinking yourself the center of the universe when you are 2 years old. It's complete poppycock, no more sophisticated than the "US has never done anything wrong" 1950s view that they scoff at at their wine and cheese parties. Regions like the Middle East were tumultuous long before the Americas were even found by European explorers and while the US has certainly made its mistakes in the region that have caused problems, they have also done a LOT Of good things there that have brought a lot of stability.

Saying we are a bigger threat to world peace than ISIS is like saying FDR was a bigger threat to world peace than Hitler, and that's not an exaggeration b/c ISIS is very much that kind of terror based, world domination focused group.

The fact that they had to so contort reality to get their "US is the problem" view to hold only shows how absurd is their belief, and underscores everything we've seen in Obama's decisions.

It's why he didn't want more security in Libya, why he wants out of Iraq and everywhere else, why he couldn't act against Syria when they stepped over his line in the sand, etc. Even why he wouldn't pressure Iraq to leave troops etc. as Panetta described, bc that's still intervening, using US power to demand of these nations how they behave and what they decide.

It's been hip and cool to find intellectual ways to blame US "imperialism" for about every bad thing in the world. I'd say it must be a bitch when Obama has spent the last 6 years testing and disproving that hypothesis empirically, but they're so dumb they don't even know he's shown they're so wrong.

I saw part of that Watters interview last night.

These guys really, truly believe they are smarter than everyone else. And in many respects they may be, but when it comes to real life stuff like this they're all dumber than the proverbial box of rocks. And why is this? It's because the schools do not teach AMERICAN HISTORY anymore, aside from the politically correct and skewed views espoused by the ideology of Common Core. So when you ask them about these kinds of things, they parrot what they've been told by their leftist, socialist professors who are mostly closet Communists. Just like a certain President we all know. Because they're really not smart enough to see beyond the lies they're being told, too stupid to think for themselves, and either not smart enough to ask any questions or too cowardly to ask, or both.

We have dark, bad days ahead of us. I see it coming, clear as day. Are you prepared? If not, you guys had better get your heads out of the sand and start getting ready.
