"I can't wait to get back out here on the practice field," Mark Stoops said after healing up those bumps and bruises. After the unexpected visit with the media Tuesday having nothing bad to report and the post scrimmage presser, it's obvious he likes his team.

* The obvious question today as with any situation when the quarterback position, who is the starting quarterback. Stoops answer the questioner with facetiousness, "You knew the answer to that question when you ask it."

* Wan'Dale's Robinson's description of the top three quarterbacks goes like this 1) Will Levis has a cannon for an arm; Joey Gatewood drops it in there with accuracy; and Beau Allen is a combination of both.

* Stoops said they are optimistic that Dekel Crowdus will be back soon.

* Again on the question of quarterback, Stoops laughed and said "You want me to get Coach Marrow back out here" Referring to Tuesday when was a little too detailed. "Lonny, I see you fraternizing (with Marrow) at other spots."

* Stoops said to the media "I think it would be fair to watch practice." As an addendum Tony (Neely) will coordinate that with me (smiles)."

* Stoops said Luke Fortner is dependable.

* He said the young linebackers are just making tackles. Very talented in getting guys on the grown.

* Izayah Cummings continues to impress in the conversion to tight end from wide receiver. Stoops said he's so natural, so smooth, he's a guy that's athletic. "He made a catch out there today with one hand to keep a drive alive," Stoops said.

* From everything I'm hearing coupled with Fan, Day observation Rahsaan Lewis is going to hard to keep off the field. The kid just makes plays, I'm told.

* Josh Paschal likes defensive linemen Kahllil Saunders, Jamrius Dinkins, and said Josiah Hayes has quick hands and that' what separates him from a lot of guys.

* If you remember, that class of defensive were rated as some of the best in the country.
