Kentucky v. Vanderbilt, Game 1 Thursday

We're 2 hours away from first pitch. A series win this weekend clinches at least a share of the SEC Championship. From most national talking heads, Kentucky is postured to be the overall # 1 national seed, thanks to their standing in the SEC and the fact that we are # 1 in college baseball RPI.

Tonight's game is huge. Vandy defeated # 1 Tennessee, 3-0 Sunday and would love nothing more than to continue that momentum as spoilers.

Trey Pooser on the mound. I'd have Travis Smith ready early today, just in case. Travis has been excellent in relief since losing his spot as regular Friday night starter, and could be the key tonight.
