  • Kentucky Volleyball receives NCAA bid, seeded No. 12; will host opening weekend

Kentucky and Craig Skinner have done it again.

Head coach Craig Skinner has been at the helm of the Kentucky Wildcats volleyball program for 18 years. In every season, but Wildcats have been selected to compete in the NCAA Volleyball Championship, with Skinner accounting for 18 of the 24 times Kentucky has made the NCAA Tournament in program history.

Kentucky received a No. 12 overall national seed, and will be a host site for first and second rounds this weekend in Memorial Coliseum. Games will begin on Thursday, December 1 with Western Kentucky facing Bowling Green at 4:30 PM ET, followed by Kentucky versus Loyola-Chicago at 7:30 PM.

The winners of those two matches will face each other Friday, December 2 at 7 PM ET.

Play Thursday 7:30pm and Friday 7pm if we advance. Thursday is a problem but think I can make Friday work and just hope we advance.

Lot of respect for the SEC in there. Our SOS also helped as we did play a brutal schedule, honestly more than this team needed.

WKU has a good squad, a very good squad. UK's blockers need to step up if they play WKU

It's a bad seed for UK. First b/c it's an in state school, second b/c WKU fans will snatch up tickets, won't be a home crowd for UK.

Third, WKU is good and has been good for awhile. Nice tradition, and they won't be skeered.
