      You can tell a lot about how good a recruiting staff you have by often they are surprised. If you're surprised a lot you're not getting as tight with kids & their ppl as you think. UK has navigated a lot of situations without seeming to be very surprised. Reflects well.

      Oh...and he's an elite punt returner, too. That's a part of our game I'd love to see Kentucky improve.

      Oh--in other news, the nation's # 1 recruit, Travis Hunter...just informed Florida State he will be signing with...

      Jackson State.

      Prime Time lands the biggest recruiting story of the day, heck, maybe of decades, as he'll be signing with a HBCU, lower division.

      I've gotta get in to see them play next year. I'll be there for about 4 or 5 Saturdays in the Fall next year (Jackson, MS), and if timing works, I'll be a "white shadow" in the crowd.

      Kentucky currently has the # 11 recruiting class, per 247Sports...has nine four- and five-star recruits in the books.

      In the 8 years before Stoops arrived we had a grand total of 8 4-star recruits. Now we're doing that in a single year, and then some.

      Where we are...

      Alabama is # 3 in the SEC in recruiting rankings currently. Kentucky is # 4.

      We have 9 4-star and 5-star recruits (only one 5-star). To put that in perspective....Tennessee has 6 total, all 4-star. Arkansas has 5. LSU has 6.

      Florida has 4.

      Vandy 0, Ole Miss 3, Miss. St. 2, S Carolina 3.

      Our level: Kentucky 9, Auburn 9, Missouri 7.

      Above our level: Georgia 19!!, Texas A&M 19!!, Alabama 18!!. This is why it's going to be very, very difficult to break into the Elite Level. But it starts with steps like this year.
