  • Edmond named Player of Year, Curry Libero of Year, Lilley, Stumler join all-SEC team

Kentucky with a nice set of honors as the all-SEC volleyball awards were announced this afternoon.

Leah Edmond was named SEC Player of the Year, with Gabby Curry named Libero of the Year. So we had the offensive player of the year and what's generally considered the stud defensive player of the year as well.

Madison Lilley and Alli Stumler also joined the 18-member All-SEC team (Curry and Edmond also on the team, of course).

No Kentucky players made the 7-member All-Freshman team, and Laura "Bird" Kuhn, head coach of Texas A&M, was named Coach of the Year. (They get tired of naming Craig Skinner, I guess.)
