    Apparently has been in a car wreck and in critical condition/ICU. Prayers for him, and his family

    UK confirms Ashely Lowery was in a car accident last night near his hometown and is in the hospital undergoing treatment.

    Per WKYT, UK defensive back Ashley Lowery is in critical but stable condition in a Georgia hospital following an auto accident.

    Just a FYI, and it means nothing....but he spells his name ASHELY, not Ashley.

    I mess it up routinely.

    Lowery was the only person and it was a single-car crash. No seat belt. Ejected after car overturned several times, per police report.

    According to report, Lowery came to rest 100 feet from where his 2006 Altima landed. He was taken to hospital and has serious injuries.

    Scary reminder to buckle up.

    Great Ashely Lowery news from family friend Doug Stutsman: breathing tube out, Lowery awake, recognizes relatives, answering Qs correctly.

    Stutsman also said Lowery can move his arms and legs. Pretty amazing, really.

    Stutsman said doctors believe not wearing a seatbelt/getting ejected actually saved Lowery's life.

    Wreck shows that someone up there likes Ashely very well. We pray for his recovery.
