Can't have the barbershop bit without Rindercella. Here's the original, but the 2nd one at the 2:55 minute mark is him doing it with Jerry Reed. I also LOVE Jerry Reed so I recommend the 2nd one.

Yep, I do miss that show. Goofy as crap, but don't fool yourself, it was a pretty slick blend of adult humor you could still let the kids watch and enough in there kids were entertained too. Man some classic stuff in that show. "Gloom, despair and agony on me", "PHHHTH you was gone", "go around spreading rumors", and I STILL to this day remember "BR-549". the cast thought it was as goofy as the audience which made it all the funnier.

FWIW Roy Clark was also a tremendous talent. He could play banjo, guitar, fiddle and do it all extremely well, and play about any style from pure country to classical. He killed Malaguena.

Either Junior Samples was near sighted or darn near illiterate. I think they made his cue cards to trip him up on purpose and sometimes he seemed to be genuinely upset. The show would be blasted today for its political incorrectness but it was all in good fun and never mean spirited. They played some great gospel music as well. There's a channel on Dish that plays their reruns and it makes me feel right at home. "hey, Grandpa, what's for supper?

Classics. Cit, I'm a big Jerry Reed fan too. In my wilder days my friends and I would roll up to one another's window in the wee hours of the night blasting "The Bird". You didn't have a choice, work next day or not, regardless of time, once you'd been "given the bird", you had to roll out and go with em!

Roy Clark faded from the limelight after HeeHaw, but he had the talent to stay in it. A sitcom or a variety show of his own... Probably could have done some acting as well.

Oh yeah, the Hee Haw Honeys were pretty dang sweet. Love Southern girls.
