“Before I leave I’d like to see our politics begin to return to the purposes and practices that distinguish our history from the history of other nations,
“I would like to see us recover our sense that we are more alike than different. We are citizens of a republic made of shared ideals forged in a new world to replace the tribal enmities that tormented the old one. Even in times of political turmoil such as these, we share that awesome heritage and the responsibility to embrace it.”

Re: Word(s) of the day
Holistic, adjective. Characterized by the belief that the parts of something are interconnected and can be explained only by reference to the whole.
Sasquatch watched the vultures squabble over some roadkill as he munched on his pine nuts. That part of Mother Nature’s holistic approach is something I could live without, he thought to himself.Last edited by Catfan73; 03-28-2024 at 04:21 PM.

Occultation, noun. An event that occurs when one object is hidden from the observer by another object that passes between them.
In Sasquatch’s neck of the woods, the eclipse wouldn’t quite be a full occultation. He still planned however to take advantage of the daytime darkness to score some oatmeal cream pies from the corner store.changing my signature to change our luck.
