Another massive Philippines quake (7.6)

Hope everything is OK with y'alls family! This one was a dozie at 7.6 off the coast of Mindanao. Followed by over half a dozen after shocks above 6.

I will add my prayers to this thread. IIRC if memory is not failing me on this one, suncat's family lives well north of Mindanao, but jeeze louise, this rock and roll event is 20 times stronger and 8 times bigger than the last one from a couple of weeks ago.

AFAIK, we don't have any family in or around the Mindanao region. Lots of family all over Zambales region, but not down there.

Glad to hear everyone is OK. Also, good to have a better idea of where in PI your fam is located. The Philippines are a LONG country!

We have family in the Manila metro area, Olongapo City/Subic Bay, Laguna, Angeles and Cebu. Almost all are in the Zambales region, except for those living in Cebu. We do not have any family in or around Mindinao.

We own property in Bataan, on the other side of the mountain where the infamous "Bataan Death March' happened in WWII, but we're going to sell that property since her Mom & Dad have both passed. We bought that property with the intention that when I retired from the Sheriff's Office that we were going to move to the Philippines and look after them, but God had other plans for them. We'll never use that property, but it has turned out to be a great investment for us.
