Anyone folowing the Fed's effort to force the public's use of crypto dollars?

Lots of scuttlebut (fake news) on the web about them eliminating the dollar and forcing us to use an electronic dollar that they issue and track. I would convert my liquid assets to gold and silver if I could figure out a way to spend it for day to day purchases. I have not figured out a way to spend gold or silver coins for gasoline, groceries, utilities, web access, and medical bill payments, etc.

Anyone have a plan they are willing to share? Most citizens of socialist nations do not own their liquid assets, they just rent it until the overlords say give it back.

I guess the Feds are just following the lead of many private companies that do not really sell you products, they just rent them to you with future services and costs attached.

The government would love to eliminate cash. No doubt about it. Not sure they will, but they would love it. Governments are all inherently fascist b/c they are completely populated by people who think they know best for everyone else and they see no harm in government knowing what everyone is doing so they can eliminate whatever behavior they think is unacceptable.

The IRS will justify it as catching "tax cheats", the DOJ sees it as a way to catch criminal activity. I"m sure everyone from the EPA to the Department of Agriculture has some reason why they need to know about every financial transaction being made.

Re: Anyone folowing the Fed's effort to force the public's use of crypto dollars?

In 2023, the central banks of 114 countries accounting for 95% of the world’s GDP were said to be in various stages of evaluating the launch of a national digital currency.[11][12] These included the ECB, the UK, and the US.[13][14] China's digital RMB was the first digital currency to be issued by a major economy.[15][16] Five central banks have launched a CBDC: the Central Bank of The Bahamas (Sand Dollar), the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (DCash), the Central Bank of Nigeria (e-Naira), the Bank of Jamaica (JamDex), People's Bank of China (Digital renminbi) and the Reserve Bank of India (Digital Rupee).[17] The ECB/Eurozone is preparing decision by end of 2023, following a study phase since 2021 regarding the possibilities of a digital euro.

Some states have also issued, or have considered issuing, cryptocurrencies: these include Venezuela (Petro) and the Marshall Islands (Sovereign). These cryptocurrencies are often considered with the intent of increasing a state's independence from global financial systems, such as by reducing dependence on a foreign currency or by evading international sanctions.[18][19]

Contrasting attitudes towards digital currencies were demonstrated by developments in the UK and Switzerland in February 2023. The UK Treasury and the Bank of England said a state-backed digital pound was likely to be launched some time after 2025. Two weeks later, a Swiss lobby group triggered a national vote on maintaining a "sufficient quantity" of cash in circulation over fears that electronic payments make it easier for the state to monitor its citizens' actions.[20] In a comment on the British government’s plans, the BBC's Faisal Islam said the issue was about access to the data attached to every spending transaction, and whether people might choose to trust a global company more than the state: "The eye here is on maintaining UK monetary sovereignty against upheaval from the likes of Big Tech."[21]

It's times like these that I ask myself WWNBD, or "What Would Nicholas Biddle Do". That's for all you Jacksonian history buffs, though it may be more relevant than not.

I feel certain that he would fight for the federal regulation of trade currency in a way that would centralize power and wealth while
lining his pockets by manipulating state run regional banks and taking advantage of commodity trades that would lead to the central banks failure. He should not have tried to run Andy out of office by throwing money and written support behind John Clay's run for the presidency.
