Only 71. I didn't realize how young they were when they were cranking out hits. They were really good musicians and Rossington was in his early 20s at that time, 25 at the time of the plane accident.

Was Gary part of 38 Special too. I know he had the Rossington Collins Band at one point.

No, but his wife, Dale Krantz was a singer for them.

People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.
There are a few session bands in Nashville that are as good. Glenn Campbell, Roy Clark, Chet Atkins, and Vince Gill were some pf the best, but that kind of talent is few and far between. Duane Allman played for the swampers for a while before becoming part of the Allman Brothers band.
