elimination game--SEC basketball style
Elimination (or Survival) game: Each week you pick TWO SEC teams to win (one from one from tues/wed/thurs lineup and one from Sat/sun). It's that simple. There are no points, no spreads. Just pick the winners. Only intraconference games allowed. HOWEVER in the following weeks you cannot re-use a team. So, if you pick GA (Wed) and AUBURN (sat) to win in week 1 then you cannot use GA or Auburn in week 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 etc. If you pick MS (wed) and MSU (sat) in week 2 you cannot use GA, Auburn, MS or MSU in weeks 3 or 4 or 5 or 6. If your picked team loses, you get a strike. Three strikes and you are out of the game. This game requires you to play every week. All teams will be used meaning you will have 14 picks and 10 weeks or 18 possible picks (week 1 has no intraconference games), so you have FOUR Ten Foot Pole picks. You can SKIP FOUR 1/2 WEEKs if you choose (or miss due to forgetfulness). There will be no double pick weeks.
Also it is up to the player to keep track of teams used. I will try to make sure you don't reuse the same team, and keep a running post, but sometimes I miss a double pick. If you do double pick, and we don't catch it, it will be an invalid pick and you must make up take a TFP if you have it, or at double pick the following week. I trust that most are on the honor system because it's a game. Likewise, if you don't get your pick in at tip off but you have not seen the game or score, have no knowledge of the action...go ahead and pick. Because it's a game!
teams are:

Normally, I'd be irritated that I burned the UK pick so quickly. Not this year. Hopefully they put it together and win a bunch of remaining ones, though.

Re: elimination game--SEC basketball style
Sorry for my time away. Week before last Donna had a heart attack. She is doing well right now and things are getting back to normal. Of course I’m dealing with a nice new hernia too, so we were quite the pair.
She had two stints, so now we are both heart patients and at least can share medicine if one runs short.
Getting old is an adventure.
