My daughter received her Senior ring at the Citadel yesterday afternoon. A lot of hard work and effort to get here and another semester and half to cap and gown time. 87B27325-C7ED-4CAB-9EF8-563D4DF65AE5.jpg

You, are one Blessed man.
Congratulations!
One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter.
The senior ring is a very big deal at the Citadel. You don’t own it. The school pays for 51% of it, we paid for 49%. So my daughter doesn’t own it. She rents it and the rent is due every day with effort and exemplary conduct. If you besmirch the reputation of the Citadel the ring is taken back, legally if necessary. Citadel grads who have passed away, their rings are sent back to the school and are remelted into this current classes rings. There were 17 passed away in the past year.
Wow. It sounds like it takes a very special person to be part of that tradition. You must be one proud papa!

Congratulations to your daughter, and to your family.
Hard work, heart & effort mean everything, especially within the military community. And I know she's always had the support mechanism at home that is needed to get through some of the things that happen to these cadets in their journey through these military academies. Her graduation next year will be one of the most special moments of her life, and something that you will always be proud of!
MOLON LABE!
Over the years I have worked with a half dozen or so graduates of The Citadel. They were some of the very best. Highly intelligent. Disciplined. High Inner Work Standards. Outstanding leaders. Whatever you daughter chooses to do in life she will be successful! Congratulations to everyone in your family!
