    Eagles Tonight? Anyone?

I got an invite, so me and Ms boss are heading to the bucket tonight.

I have not seen them since the late 70’s… should be fun

    Enjoy, Boss & Ms Boss.

Oh, now that would be fun for me. As many know, I'm not a big music guy like so many are, but that's classic and just fun.

    Have a great time.

Wow!! What a great show, the played for nearly three hours sound system was dialed in nicely.

It pains me to say the Yum center is a really nice facility. I kept thinking about Ricky Two Stacks and how much it pained him to basically get thrown out.

I’ve been to a few games there and always had decent seats, but I had never been in the suite level. The suits are very nice, with the space for entertaining and accompanying seating.

You can’t duplicate the history and tradition you feel when walking into Rupp, but it could use an upgrade/makeover.

I've been to the Yum Center twice when UK was playing there (12 & 15). It is a very nice facility.

Glad you enjoyed the show. It's hard for me to consider them The Eagles without the old lineup, but I'm sure it was awesome.

BTW. if you get a chance to catch the documentary "The History Of The Eagles," it's really good.

Did they open the show with Steve Young’s “7 Bridges Road”? It was written by Young when he lived in Montgomery, Ala. about the bridges on Woodley Road. Eagles warm up back stage singing a capella, harmonizing into a single microphone. They then move it directly on stage. It’s still my favorite song the Eagles perform.

Ditto on all the above. Their 1976 and on, was their best grouping. I always thought that it was amazing that Linda Ronstadt recruited the band members one by one to be her band before they started on their own.

I do have to admit that even though Vince Gill is OK on the vocals and is not Glen Frye, he does add one heck of a guitar player to the mix.

That is one bad a$$ song, and is definitely in my top 5 Eagles tunes.

They opened with Hotel California (tour name), they came out and played the entire album and then went to break.

They did a little theatrics thing with the curtain down. I guy walked out in front carrying THC album placed it on a turntable and as he queued it up the curtain rose and they went into the song. They did the same thing with a woman walking across the stage and she flipped the album over and they started in with the B side.

Henley said before break the reason they’d be back out is because back then albums were only :40 long. He went to say the usual relax and enjoy, we’ll be right back and we’re going to play everything they know… so go pee!! Because we are too.

They did did Seven Bridges in the second set, it got dusty in the arena, for me on three occasions.

How was it without Glenn Frey. I know Vince Gill is with them and I think Glenn's Son?

They are still very tight musically. Vince Gill carries the load with a lot of the vocals and holds his own. Keep in mind Henley, Walsh, Schmit, and Stuart are all in their mid 70’s while Gill is around 10 years younger.

They closed out the first set out with Last Resort, with Henley doing lead. After singing the song Henley gave the “we’ll be back after a short intermission speech” he was out of air and stated as much… I can’t imagine being 75ish and still belting out that tune as strong as he did/does. He did come out to stage front to sing a lot of the songs he’s featured on instead of sitting at the drums and singing.

Fry’s son was/is not with them on this tour… I suppose he could do some guest appearances along the way.
