Daughter's town got 6" of snow this week, but per AccuWeather, it looks like a snow repeat is unlikely through the end of March and that gets us into April.
Should she wait a little longer? I know the tires are softer and will wear out quicker, but does it hurt to keep them on an extra few weeks?
Can only tell you Montana rule of thumb. Most people do Halloween to Easter. I do Columbus day to Mayday.
Also, softer the tire the less you want to run them in fall/spring.

Yes, she might get away with Election day to St Paddy’s day. Part of the calculation is to avoid the tire store “everybody had the same thought” rush.
Montana residents should probable either put their carp on jack stands for a month or two or for sure keep the snow/ice tires on.
