15 Greatest Moments/Games/Memories Of Calipari Era

So many.......Cal being hired was obviously so important but how about since then. Mine, in order:

    1. "The Coronation is complete" So emotional, thinking of family members lost who loved the Cats. Knowing what it meant to Cal,
despite the amount of down playing he had shown all week

    2. UK bus drives through Lexington from the airport. Fans everywhere, then watching it arrive at Rupp. The banner being unfurled
Goosebumps every time I watch it

    3. Anthony Davis and the best collegiate season ever. Others may disagree, but there really is no argument

    4. 2000th win and the celebration. A night that will stand forever. No other college team can ever say they reached 2000 wins first

    5. Davis spectacular lob dunk finishes UL in New Orleans. Had UL beaten us, it would stand as our worst loss ever

    6. UK beats NCAA nemesis #1 Ohio State in sweet 16; Harrelson tatooes Sullinger in a clear "don't mess with us' message. Nance yells
out "Craft races down the floor, Ohio State's season on the line.......UK pulls the monster upset"

    7. Liggins sinks dagger 3 from the corner versus hated UNC in Elite 8, then blocks Marshall. Cal kisses him on top of the head as Cal's
    dad cheers from the stands

    8. Wall goes #1, 5 Cats in 1st round for 1st time ever establishes Kentucky as the Clear "it" program

    9. Cousins FG ties Miss State in dramatic SEC final game; loudest arena I've ever heard as Cats rush down the court to mob Demarcus

    10. Anthony Davis goes #1, MKG #2 in draft for only time 2 teammates go #1 and #2. Great kids

    11. Davis blocks Henson as Cats beat UNC

    12. Wall commits to UK May 19, 2009 to wrap up a recruiting class for the ages (at the time). A new era is clearly on its way

    13. 2010 #1 Recruit Brandon Knight and 2011 #1 recruit Michael Gilchrist commit to UK hours apart on ESPN on April 14, 2010

    14. Wall/Cousins both named 1st team AP All American, only 2 frosh teammates ever

    15. Knight makes shot with 2 seconds left to beat Princeton in NCAA 1st round.

So many memories in only 3.5 years. I am looking forward to so many more

Terrific list. Can't say that I'd change anything. The only thing that comes to mind is the revenge win against Indiana, going 35 for 37 at the free throw line. Don't know where I'd put that.
Cool as a rule, but sometimes bad is bad.

great list Darryl. can't argue with that. #1, can only imagine. in terms of pure adrenaline rush:

    1. knight beats osu
    2. wall beats uconn in the garden
    3. cats out gun the hoosiers in the sweet sixteen
    4. cats find a way to beat msu in 2010 x 2 (sec tourney, was sitting in nose bleeds, & regular season)
    5. big brother flexes muscle in nawlins against the cards

I'd also add the Miami of Ohio game at Rupp in 09-10, Wall's first game. Miami had just tied the game with a deep three. With 5 seconds left Wall races down the court, crosses up his defender, and nails a 15 foot step-back dagger to win the game. The John Wall era was born.

I remember exclaiming "BALLGAME!!!" before the ball even left his fingertips. I knew that shot was going in, and Rupp went nuts.

Davis making the KU player travel when he went out to block a shot in the championship game. I don't remember who the Kansas player was but that was so symbolic of AD's impact on games, and he didn't even get credit for a block on that one.

If you didn't know before, you knew then. Kentucky--and Anthony Davis--had imposed its will, and it could not be stopped. Futility at its finest. Clinched the title late.

Yay--here's a short video clip of that moment to relive.

Darrell, would it be possible to attach a link for more of those top moments. It would be a
great way to relive these super memories.

    Thanks, Darryl

My favorite all-time "in person" moment. Had the best seat ever for that shot, just behind the cheerleaders literally a few feet away under the basket. I have chill bumps reliving the moment.

Not the drive to Rupp, but this does a pretty darn good job otherwise of sharing the excitement.

Here's the 3 from inside the arena. Not the greatest, but helps live the moment with actual crowd noise (and I've seen plenty of games from about this vantage point, too!)

Tried to find the Brandon Knight layup v Princeton, but have run into several "removed by User" claims. May look a little later; sure it's available.

I've got a new bottle of 101 I just opened last night. If you want to drop by the house we can connect these clips to the big screen and make ourselves deliriously happy!!

Thank Darryl for all of the moments/games/memories thread; it was a doozy. I do enjoy the video embedding function; just makes it more convenient for everyone and really cool to use.
