    The next time you are either siting still, or creeping along on a rural stretch of a 4 lane or more lane highway and as the stoppage begins to clear, you do not see any apparent reason for the stoppage to have occurred, you can ruminate on the explanation provided in this thesis as to why the traffic stopped for no apparent reason. At least it will give you something to do when you are not concentrating on guiding your speeding vehicle.

    btw, when traveling home from the redneck riviera during the annual summer vacation trip, this circumstance never fails to occur on I65 somewhere within 50 and 75 miles of the spaghetti junction of I65 and I20, I59, and I459.
