Re: RIP Tom T Hall
I hated to see this. Strait out of Olive Hill, KY., and a great story teller he was.
“Before I leave I’d like to see our politics begin to return to the purposes and practices that distinguish our history from the history of other nations,
“I would like to see us recover our sense that we are more alike than different. We are citizens of a republic made of shared ideals forged in a new world to replace the tribal enmities that tormented the old one. Even in times of political turmoil such as these, we share that awesome heritage and the responsibility to embrace it.”

We have lost another voice of our generation.
Rest easy and prayers for His Comfort for his loved ones...One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter.

Re: RIP Tom T Hall
I remember when I was a kid of like 7 or 8. Tom T was on Hee Haw and they did the salute mentioning Olive Hill. We lived in Ohio at that time, but hearing Olive Hill mentioned on Hee Haw seemed like a big deal at the time.
One of my high school classmates set up a welcome center for visitors to Olive Hill in the former train depot building. She contacted Tom T about memorabilia for a display dedicated to him. He was all for the idea and she made a trip to Tennessee in the fall of 2019 and spent some time with him. Tom T provided a number of items for the welcome center, which opened on July 3rd of this year.
This is Lisa and Tom T when she visited him in Tennessee.
