I tell you, I get no respect.

My December Red Cross blood donation was sent to The Medical Center in Bowling Green. Apparently every place between here and there turned it down!

Med Center has never been picky when the need presents itself, trust me I know. Last thing they ask me before putting me under is, sir if we have to do a blood transfusion, do we have your permission for that? 6 procedures later, thank goodness there has been no need.

This is pretty cool...the Belhaven University football team in Jackson, Mississippi had 125 players donate blood last week. Apparently the state needs 250 blood donations per day, and they supplied 1/2 the state's requirements that day.

Well, you may be right, but I don't know how many Alabama needs daily. They may have just rejected my blood because they know me!
