Which I flat out think Obama wants to see turned on Israel.

I never thought I'd say such an extreme thing about a US President, but he's sending our best weapons to an increasingly Islamist state that is flat out saying they will turn them on our key ally in the region. Running out of ways to interpret his actions.

The only other option, and it's a good one b/c it's a hallmark of liberalism, is the idea that if we just placate them enough they'll like us and end their evil ways. F-16s sent b/c Lord Chamberlain wasn't available.

Look, we all know this view is one held by lunatics, and is sadly not uncommon at all in the Arab world. Educated Egyptians thought 9/11 was an Israeli plot.

So among the massiveness of the stupidity here I love this the most b/c of the timeline. In truth US intelligence HID what they knew about the holocaust during the early part of the war. Even our intelligence and certainly not the American people didn't know the full extent of this horror until we physically liberated the death camps.

So how did we justify the war when the holocaust wasn't even well publicized until after the war was all but over? How did it impact Japan when they weren't persecuting jews and even their horrors like the Rape of Nanking were over now that they were driven back to their home islands?

I know in the massiveness of the ignorance this is just a sliver, but it struck me as funny that even if you accept the whole thing was a giant conspiracy, his position still wouldn't make sense even as a conspiracy. Usually at least the conspiracy makes "sense" if you accept its absurdity.

There is one other reason to provide the arms, which is to maintain our influence over the military. If this is about to be used to support a coup and reinstate a military government then great, where do I send my check, but unless we're going to maintain positive control of the military and have the guts to do something with them we're just handing the Islamists more weapons.

same thing we did in Pakistan. We had good ties with their military, and had supported the occasional coup that kept the nation from radicalizing. then we pulled out and left them to their own devices. bad idea.

The problem here is that the cold war is over so the "sphere of influence" between the two powers that kept everyone else in line is gone, and Egypt is already radicalizing. If the military isn't willing to stop it our ties to them won't matter. In Pakistan they'd proven they would do exactly that and did it more than once.

I'd also be less worried if we were fortifying Israel like a freakin' army base. This President won't even meet with them, leaving me with my original extremist view.

Obama most definitely has a very un-American world view. But that should not be any surprise given the fact that he lived outside the United States during many of his formative, youthful years.
His natural father hated the British and was an active part of the Kenyan rebellion against British rule and was an active Socialist.
His mother was an active Socialist, as was his maternal grandparents. His maternal grandfather was an active Communist sympathizer. I can't remember the guy's last name, but his maternal grandfather introduced him to Frank Marshall(I believe this might be the guy's name but I cannot totally recall.........anyone?) whom was a known and avowed American Communist. Obama has openly praised this guy in his book about his natural father and his quest to know him better. We all know about Obama's connections to Van Jones, and his chief advisor Valerie Jarrett, among his many other questionable anti-American friends.
This is all out in the open and easy to see and discern unless you're blind. Of course, many Americans are, for whatever reasons.
But the bottom line here is that what Obama is currently doing is in stark contrast to what American foreign policy has looked like for many years. What he's doing now doesn't even begin to look like foreign policy that is remotely in America's best interests. JMHO.

Too many cast votes for the wrong reasons. For example the NAACP said this week that black Americans are far worse off than they were four years ago. They overwhelmingly voted for the candidate most likely to adversely impact their futures because of race.

But yet the majority of the black voting block went to Obama because he's partially black. And for no other reason than that. And even though he's been WORSE for the black community than any other President in our history. He is their dream-come-true......... a black "sugar daddy" complete with all of the freebies they can stand. At the rest of America's expense.
This President is no leader, never has been, never will be. Totally clueless in many ways, much to the chagrin of Americans everywhere. He had zero executive experience of any kind before he assumed the White House office. He's never run a business. He had zero foreign policy experience, and truth be told, he still doesn't. The list of negatives goes on & on with this guy.
But he's a good talker. BS artist is more like it. Worse than LBJ, Carter, Nixon, & Clinton combined. And we're stuck with him and his messes until 2016, and we will continue to suffer from his foolish ignorance/incompetence long after we're finally rid of him.
But hey......he's cool, at least according to the media.
To me, he's no more than a hot mess.
