    Yes it is--and as a federal employee, it's my favorite federal holiday because no one ever thinks about it as being a holiday. It's like sticking your hand in your jacket pocket and finding a $5 bill that's been there since last year.

    Put another way, nobody suspects the Spanish Inquisition, and nobody suspects Columbus Day is a holiday. It's great.

    They may not do away with the Holiday, but they may choose to rename it indigenous American day
