Had to work in San Francisco around 2000 or so...didn’t care for it there. Traffic from out of town to in town was hell.
Worked in San Diego for a month in 2012. That is a place I could very well live in....
Attended a week long business convention in the Embarcadareo (sp) area of San Diego near the Seaport Village. Also took a tour of the old town. Like you, based on our experience back in the mid 90s I could move there and see how it goes.
