    "The storm is coming"..

...and many Republicans have unwittingly rallied around this QAnon terrorist organization intent on destroying democracy.
The even more dangerous right wing answer to Antifa or the like, as well as for many members, (and locally I have been exposed to this first hand..twice) this generations defenders of the nazi propaganda handbook.
So then again, many are doing so wittingly.
But admittedly it doesn't apply to all, especially here on our forum because the fear has reached a point to where the safest way forward for some is the best we feel that we can hope for.

But I digress...to continue, the very thing now being railed against on the right (Antifa, BLM, protests), to others seems to have been orchestrated from the beginning.

Praise and acceptance of White supremist groups.

Instructing law enforcement to exhibit more freedom to excercize authority when making arrests. Such as not worrying about bouncing a suspects head on a car roof when seating them. You remember those speeches early on right?

Framing the existence of a mythical deep state while at the same time launching an all out attack on the free media in this nation and the world. And let's keep in mind the current state of affairs is happening under a "Republican" led government. That is not a condemnation but a fact to be considered when forming any opinion.

Attacking the voting process and questioning the legitimacy of any votes against the status quo. As scary as anything I have witnessed in this country in nearly 65 years.

And leadership within that government creating an atmosphere where alternate facts and outright lies are more and more acceptable in gaining the desirable outcome of one party/one political agenda.
In other words, the change we think is needed by any means necessary. If that sits well with any of us thinking about the current political situation, democrat or republican....then we had better re-evaluate our allegiance to the United States of America and the Constitution thereof. I dont care what our contribution was in the past.

What prompted this post is that a friend here has posted several times asking why would anyone vote democratic,, insisting he cannot see any rational argument for doing so. And worries that the nation cannot endure a transition of govt. And so, without detailing every singular difference of opinion on individual matters, this is an overall view of one major difference. And a matter that, even though the same types of accusations are often hurled one direction, there is a total denial and unwillingness to address very similar concerns from any other political perspective.

That is exactly the desired result those who would destroy this country from within seek to accomplish.

And when we find our mind closed to agreement of any kind.

When we cannot find it within ourselves to peacefully agree with our opposition on any matter.

Well, we are likely both partly at fault and wholly deceived.

    Wake up America!

“Propaganda is a truly terrible weapon in the hands of an expert.” Adolf Hitler 1924,

1920s and 1930s, the Nazi Party used posters, newspapers, rallies, and the new technologies of radio and film to sway millions with its vision for a new Germany―reinforced by fear-mongering images of state “enemies.”

This can actually be applied to either side in our current society with so many news platforms and a system focused on competition and advertising.. So as we accuse one, it's time we also pause and actually take that unbiased view. Not just pick a favorite side and claim it as so using the furnished talking points as proof.

I read the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is addressing this topic today because, and ii quote,
"in an age of instant electronic communication, disseminators of messages and images of intolerance and hate have new tools, while at the same time consumers seem less able to cope with the vast amounts of unmediated information bombarding them daily. It is hoped that a deeper understanding of the complexities of the past may help us respond more effectively to today’s propaganda campaigns and biased messages".

    Wake up America!

Still cannot see anyway to vote for a party that openly supports a Marxist, socialist government not to mention one that votes in the like of individuals like omar.
Again look at how these cities are being run.

Not aiming this at you personally Jack, just a general reply. About everyone in both parties have the same arguments and accusations. A lot of it the result of what they do for entertainment be it Facebook or MSNBC "news"

The same accusations (political footballs) that have been tossed back and forth all my life. And now we can add an offensive play that stokes fears of a totalitarian government and White supremacy.
Or a party that supports and elects QAnon cult figures that are both satanic and anti American and other documented wackos.

Or a representative of our own great state who voted to allow guns in school zones, by repealing a law passed by the first Bush administration and supported by the NRA. Or claims that the nine victims of Dylann Roof at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina were to blame for their own deaths because the church had “disallowed guns”.
And who voted against the new version of the Violence Against Women Act, Hurricane Sandy Relief, and is one of only 3 people in Congress to have voted against the Stolen Valor Act.

The point being, one can sling the same trash back and forth if they choose to pick their arguments and search for facts and apply them to a whole group. We need to be more careful with the "they" accusations and turning a blind eye when cleaning our own houses. That goes for both sides.

And if any of us decide that we cant live and share the government with the citizens of this great country by the power of their vote...then there is one option..find a better country. One that is willing to dictate thought, orchestrate self expression, and legislate their view of morality. Like North Korea.
