Bigger threat to womens’ collegiate athletics?

    Men competing as women? Or
Lack of football revenue requiring other non revenue sports to be cancelled?

Dan it is happening already. Once the football shoe drops, look for lots of non revenue sports to go. Covid will be the excuse.

Well, with Title IX, lack of revenue will mean the cancellation of the same # of Men's sports as Women's.

Non revenues may be going bye bye if this comes to fruition.

I suspect that congress will have some meetings about the ground rules of Title IX when the schools come calling with hat in hand due to a lack of football and basketball revenues

Football is a whole lot of men; players, coaches, etc. Cancelling the equivalent in women’s sports would be a significant number of sports.

Sports affected by today’s decision include men’s and women’s cross country, football, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball (with the exception of the unique circumstances involved with the military service academies). Last week, the league announced that all fall competition in the sports of men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s indoor track and field, softball and baseball was canceled.
