Finally Covid Information that is Helpful
In a couple of threads I have referred to the fact we have Covid numbers, but no information and that we need to track to the targets we are trying to hit. In Alabama the Department of Health issues numbers, but they don't translate the data into something meaningful. Finally, a guy in Huntsville is taking the numbers and putting them in a format that is helpful. It's easy to see what is happening and it allows the user to determine the most important information. If we only knew what the target was, we would know where we stand.
The creator does a pretty good job of giving a lay explanation of the charts he has created.

Thanks, Mick, that’s a nice presentation of the data on his site in a readily understandable format from my brief review. I wish there was a similar compilation for my state, all states really, and the nation as a whole for comparative analysis.

Agreed. I place the blame for the lack of helpful information at the feet of the CDC. While Huntsville is the Rocket City, this is not Rocket science.

This is AL but you can get any state: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...n=HomepageLink

Great! I like what five thirty-eight does with the models.

Re: Finally Covid Information that is Helpful
30% of Alabama’s cases are tied to long term care facilities.
Also interesting: 25-49 year olds account for almost 40% of cases.

Kudos to governor Beshear and Kentucky for following the guidelines. He was a leader early on and his patience is paying off.

Edit: just FYI, but you can access the NY Times data without creating an account if you use incognito mode.
