    Re: The verdict is in...

Only question will be the fallout. Dems will try to use it against a few key Republicans, but the GOP will be using it against Jones in Alabama and a few others as well.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

The Dems will take care of Jones. They will find him a nice job after the elections.

It would be a big flip b/c GOP is defending twice as many seats in the Senate as the Dems, including 4 or so swing states.

Sessions seems to be ahead. He has stiff competition from Coach Tuberville and Byrne a Congressman from Mobile.

Hopefully that job will begin in January 2021.

The latest poll in Alabama show Sessions 31%, Tuberville 29% and Byrne 17%. If it holds, there will be a runoff between Sessions and Tuberville. Runoff election would be hard to predict as there should be a much lower turnout in a runoff. Either of top 2 in the Republican race should beat Jones. The key is to keep Judge Roy out of the picture.

lol Mick, I was going to ask about Roy. I'm not close to Bama politics but that does seem to be a key factor from here at 30,000 feet.
