Prayers Please
At 12:10 this afternoon, my elderly special needs sister who lived with me and my wife and we cared for her like our own child, breathed her last breath on Earth and took her first breath in Heaven.
I ask for your prayers throughout this week.
We lost an angel and God gained one.
One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter.

Re: Prayers Please
Prayers to you and yours, Pappy.
My best friend is a single mom who has an adult special needs daughter, and I spend a good bit of time helping to care for her. Those of us who are close to such individuals understand that they are not only "special needs," but are truly SPECIAL. My friend's daughter is a joy to all who know her, and I'm sure your sister was as well.
May God's grace and the knowledge that your sweet sister is free of her Earthly limitations give you comfort during this very sad time.

Re: Prayers Please
I thank you all for the kind words and thoughts, and prayers.
We buried her today and it was a beautiful thing. Funny, but it was.
I promised to post more shortly to tell you how she was a Big Blue fan as well as an awesome sister. One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter.

Re: Prayers Please
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family, Pappy. I had a cousin that had Down's syndrome and died of heart failure when he was only 22 and I was 18. I haven't thought about him in awhile, and your post brought back a lot of good memories. I'm sure I'll see him again some day, just as I'm sure you'll see your sister again.
