Trump Can Win By Changing His Tone

I do not think I have ever agreed with anything more than the comments in this article

I think that many here have a different opinion of who the real Donald Trump is and I certainly do not want to debate those differing opinions as I have little hard proof to go along with my opinions. I also think the article's author is spot on when he says he would advise the President to back off in his tit for tat war in social media and let the snarky comments slide off his tough hide and ignore them. Go about the business of running the country and talk to the voting citizens about his short term and long term plans for the country in a civil manner.

No doubt. None. if he would just give up the childish, boorish nonsense he would actually win over a lot of voters. His policies are pretty mainstream, if not mostly right down the middle compared to the alternatives. It's his childishness that is the issue.

And he could still be big energy at rallies and such. Lots of politicians in the past we're very puffed up at such events. Just lay off the dumb personal insults and trolling and stuff on twitter.

Not holding my breath, but it would give him a huge leg up on re-election.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

His biggest boost at election time will be the bat$hit crazy left and it’s asinine calls for a socialist utopia.

I agree. In fact, I can almost predict it. If Trump changed all the nonsense he would likely win. But, he won't change the nonsense. Which means the next election will be up for grabs. He may still win, but I think it will completely depend on who he is up against.

I'm not posting my desire....just simply a prediction:

But if Biden wins the nomination, Trump will win the Presidency. (and I know what the polls say)
If Warren wins the nomination (and I think she will), I think she wins the Presidency.
If its someone else, just depends on who it is.

Dems (and the media) completely miscalculated the power of uniting a base as Trump did in the last election. And Trump won.
Imho, I think Trump has completely miscalculated the independents and those in the middle (which he is pushing away by his behavior). He cannot win without them because the Dems will be united against him like never before in 2020.
The Republican base is fired up and united. He will win 98% of their vote. The Dem base is fired up and united. The Dem nominee will win 98% of their vote. So the winner will be the one who gets the independents and those in the middle in the key states.
Trump's approval rating among independents is 39%. His high was 42% (his first month in office).
Obama's was in the 50's and 60's his entire presidency just to compare. His high was 67% (which he hit multiple times throughout his term).
Trump has to change his antics to win. And its odd to me that he hasn't. I actually do not think he is incapable. Just unwilling.
