Does anyone use this emergency alert system? Is it a scam or real?

I do not use anything other than the native alerts system on my Iphone. It pushes out weather alerts, and amber alerts. It may provide other alert types but I have not been anywhere where they were needed.

Thanks, Dan. I suspect the lack of response here gives me the answer.

    Re: Redalerts.org

Dallen, I did a quick google search on it, nothing special, just to satisfy my curiousity. It seems legitimate enough, but I had never heard of it, either. I did see a couple of reddit type threads that said it loaded ads as email to the users accounts and such.

To me, the national emergency system that flows through everybody's cell phone is enough. Like Dan, I get amber alerts and other alerts on it alone. I think you can opt out of that (maybe???) but I haven't done anything to opt in or out and get it. It's not obtrustive, no ads, etc., just an occasional pop-up on the screen--not every day or anything like it.

Thanks, D. I agree. Not necessary.
