    What a crappy week!

I could post on the front porch but likely to evolve to political

Had a dog I spayed last week get sick and die yestersday (owner euthanized). My initial concern was the spay gone wrong but not the case. However still don't know why. I was out of town so it ended up at ER, had 5 specialist, etc and none can come up with the cause. I did see it Wed for vomiting and lethargy, and treated. Ultrasound, bloods, x-rays, etc. Only thing was a "sliding haital hernia" which was not due to surgery nor should it have progressed to a neurological condition. Regardless, it really really sucks when it happens

But to top that off, my wife was EXTENSIVELY involved in the Jeffery Epstein case. We have reporters calling our house, etc... It was the federal dept of justice that stepped in and got him jail time yet they (Acousta) that is getting the criticism, because of his Trump affiliation IMO.

It's pure politics. They'd blame Trump for Jimmy Hoffa if they could fine a homeless nutbag willing to claim he saw the whole thing. Seriously, it's become pathetic.

I do think Epstein got off light, but it sounds like the state of Florida is the one to talk to about that, and the focus on Acosta and the feds is purely to connect him to Trump.

Meanwhile Clinton was flying with him dozens of times, including apparently some where he ditched his secret service detail. but that's not worthy of any investigation at all, lol.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

And I am sure he donated money to them....so they take money from pediphiles, in the same way Trump takes it from racists........

But you have it right. State was indifferent and the Feds are what go him any jail time etc. But an opportunity to get Trump not taken is an opportunity missed in the lefts mind

Doc sorry to hear about both situations. Hate that about your patient.

Certainly your wife involved in whatever capacity in the Epstein is stressful.

There is what happened and what is perceived to have happened. Not always the same.

Not knowing anything just speculating, Clinton was a friend of Epstein. So was Trump.

Folks had connections to protect the guy and dismiss the girls.

And in the small world we live in, the father of the current attorney general hired Epstein to teach in a private school without a college degree or teachers certificate.

I am just pointing out the small circle of elites. Not implying guilt of others.

Of course a former coworker of mine just got indicted so I could be listed as guilty by association.

Hope all works out with your wife.

Today that sounds highly unusual, but it really isn’t unusual at all. When I first began working for our school district in 1991 I found that a number of my coworkers had entered the classroom without college degrees and had completed their degrees while teaching. There was apparently a teacher shortage in the late 60s and early 70s brought on by children of the postwar baby boomers entering schools at that time.

I also doubt a 21 year old Jeffrey Epstein had the same tendencies he has been charged with 45 years later.

According to a NY Times article: Mr. Epstein’s big break came when he was teaching math at the Dalton School, a prestigious Manhattan private school, in the mid-1970s. He had tutored the son of Alan Greenberg, the chairman of the mighty investment bank Bear Stearns, and ended up joining the firm.

I don’t pay a lot of attention to articles talking about rich people attending the same social functions. Often times people go to those things more to network with others for professional reasons than because they really like the people in attendance.
