Renaming your ost file will fix most outlook issues. Google that or I will try to post the steps later.

Outlook will need to be closed to do this

I had that type of issue. Closed everything out and shut off the machine. When I rebooted it was back to normal.

When all else fails rename the ost. File path options below. Find the file. Right click and rename. Make sure outlook is closed.

You might need to turn on the view hidden files/folders option.

    drive:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

    drive:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
