There’s a Lot to Learn About How Blue Light Affects Our Eyes
high-energy visible light, which emanates from both the sun and your cell phone (and just about every other digital device in our hands and on our bedside tables), to disruptions in the body’s circadian rhythms.

Dan, my three daughters all have blue light blocking glasses. Gimmick or something legitimate?

Re: There’s a Lot to Learn About How Blue Light Affects Our Eyes
If the lenses eliminate the reported symptoms of "blue light" that normally affect them then I would say they are working. I do not think using the lenses will cause any harm, so wear them if you like them would be my strategy.
Not trying to be a smart alec with that comment, but the knowledge about blue light and it's effects on the brain are similar to knowledge of climate change. Hard facts are difficult to come by as much of what people think they know on the issue comes from non scientific internet sources.

I keep the blue light filter on my phone. Not sure it helps but I figure it can't hurt
