Candy Not Corn for Kentucky Cows in Drought

One and Done
Re: Candy Not Corn for Kentucky Cows in Drought
......
I've complained for years that corn is in everything, and that cows aren't supposed to eat freaking corn. But candy? Really? I'm simply not buying it.
It's one reason I've supported corn-based ethanol fuels. We have such a glut of corn in this country, it'd be nice to see it go toward something like that and having protein in our pet food and grass in our cattle feed and actual, factual sugar in our sweeteners. But hey, good to know that if I run out of cat food I can chuck some week-old Milk Duds in their bowl.
(Yes, I know that last sentence was ridiculous. That was on purpose.)

Unforgettable
Re: Candy Not Corn for Kentucky Cows in Drought
Never thought I'd see corn on the cob as a luxury, but this year it is. Went to a farmer's market last Saturday and they were selling corn for 50 cents an ear, which is about 4 times what it sold for in previous years.
