Thought this was kind of cool...well not for MKG...in fact I wouldnt be posting this if it wasnt against the greatest player of all time...only player in the history of the game that would seriously consider making a comeback at 50...and if he's this good...he would still be at the top

I'm 52, overweight, out of shape, and not that good in the first place. Played pick up games a couple of weeks ago, and had a good night where I outscored everybody, including two D2 athletes on the floor.

It really isn't that surprising to me, especially in limited play time.

That's it in a nutshell. It was one pick up game, not an 82 game NBA marathon. How long would a 50 year old last at that?

BTW, I'm not down on 50 year olds. I'm 51 and I'm probably in the best shape I've been in since my early 20's, but I know my limits.

Agreed ^^^. I never got to see him play, but my dad always said he was the best he ever saw, and that included the likes of Maravich (whom I vaguely remember), Chamberlain, Dr. J, etc. He said Russell would not only block your shot, he would actually block it to a teammate.
