Would it be outrageously expensive--and where do you find--logo monogram people?

    Here's the task.

Belhaven University has an athletics logo. You can find it on a bunch of their gear (yeah, I was surprised too--you can find places that sell just about any school's gear, I guess).

Anyway, the athletics logo looks like this--

Well, the soccer program has apparently adopted a slight modification of that logo. They include two gold stars on top of the sword and shield logo, signifying their two national championships. It looks like this.

I'd like to get gear -- shirt, sweatshirt, hat -- and have that logo placed on it, even small, for me to wear.

Is that something a monogrammer can do? Or probably not? Do they just monogram initials, or names, and such?

Most designs like that are copyrighted and monogram shops will not touch that kind of work without authorization from the holder of the copyright.

Technically, that's right. This is a little bit unusual, in that it is not an official logo. I'm thinking I may get gear with the official logo on it, and see if someone can put two gold stars on top of it and make it the same as the soccer created logo.

Looks like a simple enough design to embroider or stitch somehow. Company may not touch it but a private individual would do it. Just need a good seamstress. Or a small family shop, they'll do that kind of work too.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

Judy has a sewing machine that will do embroidery work. When she gets home tomorrow night I will try to remember this and see if it something she could do for you.

Shaheen’s in Louisville has advertised custom embroidery for years... worth a call.

Dan, very nice to offer, but not necessary. I'm looking for suggestions, ideas, and you guys are letting me know it's possible, but maybe impractical. I can work with that. To me, it looks tough, but I find a cordless screwdriver tough.

I think it's practical to do it. Just use someone local. I googled and there are 2-3 places in Lexington that do it, so I'm sure you can take that to a local sewing shop and they'll do what you want.

Yeah, I'm talking about taking a few pieces of gear for the family and that's all. I think if it's a local place--IF they can do it, and it sounds like they can--somebody will be ok with it. Not trying to do anything wrong, just have a nice piece that isn't being offered for sale anywhere else. If it was, I'd gladly buy there.

Some locals should do it. I know several that could and would around here. A Facebook post for someone in your area would probably find the person. Lots of stay at home mom's do this and vinyl as hobby and for spare money around here.

Google "custom logo shirts". There are tons of them. You can download the logo and they will make them. We did it for my son's lacrosse team. had jackets and dri-fit jersey's made with the high school logo on it. Were inexpensive and we sold as a money maker to fund their annual trip.
